While living in Keith in South Australia in 2012 I answered an advertisement for volunteer presenters at a community radio station (5TCB) in nearby Bordertown, inheriting a Saturday morning sport show. That lead to calling local football matches on 5TCB and interviewing some very high profile sporting identities. Almost immediately, I became hooked on the medium and upon returning to Geelong in 2015, I was able to continue my passion at 94.7 The Pulse.

On the back of my football broadcasting experience, I have subsequently called VFL and VFLW matches on goFooty.Live and GDFL matches on The Pulse.

Additionally, I now co host The 2 Blokes Chatting Radio Show with Neil Butler and host Sportsfix, both on Saturday mornings. Most recently, I have started hosting Rob Cameron’s Front Page on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

Interviewing people from all walks is my favourite part of the job.

Rob Cameron's Front Page

Mondays and Tuesdays: 9:00am - 11:00am

During 2021, I was given the opportunity to host 94.7 The Pulse's flagship weekday morning program, Front Page, every Thursday. At the start of 2022, I was invited to present Front Page two mornings per week - on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Rob Cameron's Front Page is Geelong’s only radio program on a Monday and Tuesday morning that keeps you informed on the issues affecting the region. Presented in a current affairs format, the program features a mix of news, sport, information and lighter content.

Sportsfix

Saturdays: 11:00am - 12:00noon

When I started broadcasting at 94.7 The Pulse, the first program I presented was Sportsfix, a program that is still broadcast weekly at 11:00am every Saturday morning.

Sportsfix presents news, views, reviews and previews of sport across our region, across the country and across the world. Our highest priority is local sport with a particular focus on the Geelong and District Football and Netball League (GDFNL), the Geelong Cricket Club, the Geelong Cricket Association and the Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association, each of whom share a special relationship with the radio station.

2 Blokes Chatting

Saturdays: 9:00am - 11:00am

The 2 Blokes Chatting Radio Show started life as a fill-in program during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with my co-host, Neil Butler, we present a program that somehow manages to weave together sport, fishing, music and regional communities.

With a format and structure that is unique to local radio, we spend Saturday mornings chatting with regular contributors and a list of very special guests. Every week, we also spend some time chatting to someone who lives in a regional community, somewhere in regional Australia.
